Week 1 Posting - Introduction to IT Blogging

Hello, my name is Sean Grace and this is my first blog post about the world of IT. I'm fairly new to IT, but I know the basic components of computers without really knowing exactly what they all do or how they work. It's always been a dream of mine to get into IT as I've always had high respect for the people that work in this field and some of the accomplishments that have come from it. I realize how broad the term IT can be and there are many facets to it, ranging from Cybersecurity, Cloud computing, networking, etc. I will admit that I'm very ignorant when it comes to the inner workings of devices but try my best to learn something new every day. I really like to troubleshoot and when I see something broken I like to try to find ways to fix it. Hopefully, this helps me in the future and I won't always have to just "try" but will actually know what's required to fix most problems in regard to computers, networking, and mobile devices.

I'm only a newcomer, but I hope to one day down the road have a hand in helping with Artificial Intelligence. AI is very fascinating to me and the benefits of saving people time and hard work are just too much to pass on. I've heard all of the cons to AI, especially about people being replaced by machines, which is true to a point and that's where universal income comes in, but that's politics and morality which isn't what this blog is about. Instead, I will do research on advancements and breakthroughs in AI and make future blog posts about that. Also, any Information Security or Quantum Computing related topics that interest me will also appear in future posts. This video is very interesting, but also brain-breaking (at least for me) about Quantum Computing which helped me to get a better understanding of the topic. We have some very intelligent people on this earth.
